Vocal Technique and Lessons

Dorothy Stone has been teaching voice for nearly 40 years, and has brought her holistic approach to the voice to students from beginner through working professional.  

She was a student of the late Bel Canto Master Cornelius L. Reid for over 25 years, and has successfully applied the principles she learned working closely with him to artists of diverse genres.

Dorothy's approach offers students an individualized course of study that focuses on basic techniques, implementing exercises which promote foundational freedom from vocal constriction, registrational development, coordination, and application to repertoire.

Lessons are either half hour or hour in duration at 

Dorothy's Studio in Hollywood, CA.

Dorothy Stone continues to offer her individual voice work including 

Vocal Technique and Vocal Restoration online through Zoom or FaceTime with enhanced sound. Remote work is available for Standing appointments, as well as "As Needed" Warm Up and Register Balancing sessions.
